A morning tea will be provided, along with the opportunity to learn more about advances in medical science to prevent, diagnose and treat ovarian cancer.
Entry is free however donations are encouraged to help Ovarian Cancer Australia to support those who are affected by this disease.
Although significant medical developments are occurring in cancer research and detection, there is still no early detection test for ovarian cancer. Ovarian cancer is still the deadliest women’s cancer. Every day in Australia, four women are diagnosed with ovarian cancer and three will die from the disease. It is essential that everyone has access to information about ovarian cancer to increase the likelihood of early detection.
There will also be an opportunity to undertake a guided tour of the University of Adelaide’s state of the art Health and Medical Science Building after the event.
